The Story of Good Soil

"What we plant in the soil of contemplation, we shall reap in the harvest of action."
- Meister Eckhart

In the Pacific Northwest, the life that grows from our soil is
incredible: beautiful forests, sweeping beach grasses, fields of
wheat, apple orchards, and grapes for wine (especially pinot noir,
of course!). The fruits of good soil are abundant and varied.

We believe that cultivating the health and hearts of students is
an investment in the abundant and varied fruits they have to offer
our shared world. Through our values of building community,
deepening faith, expanding minds,
and inspiring service,
we have identified two core programs:

We are called to love and serve students regardless of faith affiliation. We are committed to building spaces that are safe and inclusive, and to fostering student leadership that reflects the diverse population we serve.

Good Soil Campus Ministry is a local expression of LuMin (Lutheran Campus Ministry Network, ELCA) and a member of the interfaith UORDA (University of Oregon's Religious Directors Association).
