Sister Clare Josef-Maier

Campus Minister for Good soil

Sister Clare is a Minister of Word & Service in the ELCA. Her training and prior practice as a mental health counselor with students specialized in gender/sexual identity, psycho-spiritual integration, and mindfulness-based skills. She now greatly enjoys sharing her passion for inclusion, empowerment, and exploration through campus ministry.

Loves:

Obstacle course 5k races, the Oregon coast, Strange Planet comics, and knitting/crochet

Elio Garcia

Christus House Graduate Resident Director

Elio is finishing his doctorate with concentration on cinema and media studies at the University of Oregon where he teaches film courses. His works as playwright, theater actor, and creative writing teacher deepened his passion to support people in developing their gifts.

Movies, muay thai, Spanish sardines, poetry, laughter, sunshine

Kim Meyers

CHristus house Property Manager

Kim is a member of Central Lutheran Church and historical supporter of Christus House. Her institutional knowledge from years of accompaniment and her profession as a CPA both contribute great gifts to her role here. She has two daughters, Kelly and Katie. She loves getting to know the students of the Christus House community!

Loves:

Koda and Ollie (her dogs) and Zoe (her cat), Rotary, gardening, biking, scuba, and exploring Oregon!

Ryan Josef-Maier

Hearth & Table Lead Chef

Chef Ryan brings to Hearth & Table a passion for the power of good food and a common table to change to world. Over the past 15 years, Ryan has been a chef, chef trainer, barista trainer, community kitchen leader, curriculum writer, and beer and wine enthusiast. Come let him teach you to cook - or if nothing else, come eat his amazing food!

Loves:

A good sour beer, spicy food, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, and dance parties with his 3-year-old
